FAQs about SEI Adult Assessments
Since the SEI is a Level B psychological test, data and information on the report should only be shared between the test taker and the EQ Assessor. If the HR person in charge of the client company is not a certified EQ assessor, but they want/need to receive the results, can we provide them with the info ?
The treatment of the data should depend on the instructions provided to the test-taker, including who will see it and the purpose
For example, a typical instruction:
"Dear …, please take this assessment, the results will be confidential between us, and used for your professional development."
--> in this case, the company can NOT have the data automatically. If the company asks, the appropriate answer:
"You can request this data, however, the instructions provided to the test-taker said this was confidential. Therefore, in order to provide you the data, we will need written consent from the test-taker granting permission to provide the scores."
However, sometimes the test taker receives this:
"Dear …, please take this assessment. Your results will be shared with the hiring manager for the purpose of conducting an interview about the job to which you applied."
--> In this case, it's fine to provide the data to the company official.
