Tools update - June 2019
News regarding the tools from the last few months:
SEI YV and SEI pYV Version 3
New validation round for both SEI YV and SEI pYV, which included a reduction of the questionnaire items and improving psychometric properties…
We finally reduced the number of questions for both questionnaires through a new round of validation. Now the SEI YV assessment is only 48 questions (1 to 5 scores) and 4 open text questions and the SEI pYV assessment is only 50 questions (1 to 5 scores) and 1 open text question. (We also decided to remove example questions at the beginning of the YV and pYV assessment, and they will not appear on the section of the report, like they used to.)Another change is that the scales of both YV and pYV match the SEI AV, meaning that the graphs all show a range from 65 to 135, and the performance areas have the same interval of the AV ones. The names of the performance areas are still the same: Challenge, Below Most Youth, Like Most Youth, Above Most Youth and Challenge.
This change is also reflected in the section of the report that explained the scales.
The old versions of the assessments and the reports are still available in the old projects, but all newly created project will automatically be using the new questionnaire and algorithm.
Dashboard YV automated
Now you can create a group on the SEI YV tab, just like for the SEI AV, and then you can add the Dashboard YV. See here for the How to get a Dashboard AV guide that follows the same logic.NEW Group Development Report
We recently launched a new report focused on EQ development for teams, you can read more about it here. At the same time we are facing out our previous Group Report for SEI AV.OVS speed increase
We heard from many of you that working on the OVS reports and projects was slow at times, or even very slow, therefore we worked hard to identify and implement system optimization to ensure a faster speed throughout the process (a report that used to take over 12 hours to generate will now be created and emailed to you in under 2 hours). Try it out!New languages added
Check here to stay updated to the new languages additions for questionnaires and reports.Active certification and tools access
If you log into Tools and you do not have an active Assessor certification in your EQ.org account, you will see a warning on Tools to tell you to renew.
At present, you can just dismiss the warning, but in due time, active certification in EQ.org will be required in order to access Tools. Therefore, if you receive this warning, please contact us to get your certification on EQ.org active.
Stay tuned, we have got a lot more coming this year!
