The International Coaching Federation has 3 levels of certification programs: Level 1 (Associate Coach), Level 2 (Professional Coach), and Level 3 (Master Coach). The following guidelines apply for requesting transfer credit from another program to Six Seconds' programs:
Transfer to Six Seconds' Level 1
Even if you have partially completed an ICF accredited program at another organization, generally, we will require you to attend the full Six Seconds' Level 1 program. We will, however, evaluate your training to seek to identify program elements that you can transfer in, or, which can provide a cost reduction for our Level 1.
Transfer to Six Seconds' Level 2
If you have completed coach training as a program accredited by ICF as a Level 1 program at another organization, we will apply some of your completed credit hours to your Level 2 program. You must provide documentation of your Level 1 completion, including the organization, number of hours completed, completion certificate, and contact information for the organization or trainer. You may be asked for additional details or documentation on an as-needed basis.
Transfer to Six Seconds' Level 3
Six Seconds does not accept transfer of credit from another Level 3 program.
Important: This policy varies by region, and you must discuss this in advance of registration. Contract your regional team or staff@6seconds.org in advance of registration. If you do not have a written approval of your request prior to registration, then no transfer credit will be allowed and you must enroll for the entirety of the Level 2 program.
