Purpose

The purpose of this Anti-Corruption and Business Ethics Policy is to ensure that Six Seconds and all its employees, board members, and associated personnel adhere to the highest standards of ethical conduct and comply with all applicable anti-corruption laws.

Policy Statement

Six Seconds is committed to conducting business with integrity, transparency, and accountability. We do not tolerate any form of corruption, bribery, or unethical behavior. This policy aims to prevent corruption and ensure compliance with anti-corruption laws in all jurisdictions where we operate.

Definitions

Corruption: The abuse of entrusted power for private gain, including bribery, extortion, fraud, and embezzlement.

Bribery: Offering, giving, receiving, or soliciting something of value as a means to influence the actions of an official or other person in charge of a public or private duty.

Conflict of Interest: Any situation in which an individual's personal interests could influence their professional decisions or actions.

Compliance with Laws

All employees, board members, and associated personnel must comply with anti-corruption laws and regulations, including but not limited to:

The U.S. Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA)

The UK Bribery Act

Local anti-corruption laws in the countries where we operate

Prohibited Conduct

Bribery and Corruption: Employees and board members are prohibited from engaging in any form of bribery or corruption. This includes offering or accepting bribes, kickbacks, or any other improper payments.

Facilitation Payments: Small payments made to expedite routine government actions are strictly prohibited.

Gifts and Hospitality: Gifts, hospitality, and entertainment must not be used to influence business decisions. All such offers must be transparent, reasonable, and recorded.

Conflict of Interest: Employees and board members must avoid conflicts of interest and disclose any potential conflicts as per our Conflict of Interest Policy.

Confidentiality: Employees and board members must protect confidential information and not use it for personal gain.

Reporting and Whistleblowing

Employees, board members, and associated personnel are encouraged to report any suspected corruption or unethical behavior. Reports can be made anonymously and without fear of retaliation through by emailing reporting@6seconds.org .

Investigation and Disciplinary Action

All reported violations will be investigated promptly and thoroughly. Any employee or board member found to have violated this policy will face disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment or board membership.

Training and Awareness

Six Seconds will provide regular training and resources to ensure that all employees and board members are aware of and understand this policy and the importance of ethical conduct and compliance with anti-corruption laws.

Review and Updates

This policy will be reviewed annually and updated as necessary to ensure its effectiveness and compliance with applicable laws and best practices.

By adhering to this Anti-Corruption and Business Ethics Policy, Six Seconds aims to maintain the trust and confidence of our clients, partners, and stakeholders, and to contribute positively to the global effort to combat corruption.
